I am a beginner enamelist...but am to a space where putting color on the metal isn't enough, so this is a fun pair of earrings I did the other day with a pair of lapis-colored disks I had done. Nuf said...here they are to deck someone's ears soon!

Luckily, I am a jeweler and find packaging has developed into a simple art. When sending  a piece in the mail, I choose from a variety of boxes made for just that. If need be, I add a little cotton or put the piece in a see-thru bag to keep it from moving around. Then I put the box in a padded paper mailer along with my card, with a receipt written on the back and a thank you on the front. Easy. At the studio I use fabric bags that I buy in various places. People choose them over boxes nearly every time and I feel good to offer something reusable to them. Glad I am not a potter. You guys have a job to package your wares!

entry for September

I am trying to add an entry for the contest this month at aspiring metalsmiths! Let's see if this works.  This piece is in honor of an animal that I have always felt compassion for...one that I feel we have tried to link with in so many ways. It is so encouraging to see efforts to communicate and work with these animals!  For them:   http://www.etsy.com/listing/65921158/14k-gold-i-heart-dolphins-earrings
